A study assistant that keeps university students on top of every lecture

Study Secretary is a web app that helps university students keep up with a whole semester of classes. Record in the lecture hall and the spoken lecture is transcribed and summarised for each session. Parts you mark with “important here” while recording come first in summaries and exam prep. Add your syllabus and exam dates, assignments, grade weights and attendance rules are organised for you; as an exam approaches, prepare with range summaries, wrong-answer review and mock exams. It runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or laptop, and opens like an app once added to the home screen.

Signing up is free. AI features deduct points only when they succeed.

What you can do with Study Secretary

Record → transcript → summary

Turn lecture recordings into text and a summary for each session.

  • Mark “important here” while recording (button or Alt+M), or later on a transcript line
  • Link lecture PDF pages and transcript passages both ways, so you can jump to the page being explained
  • Recording pieces are kept on your device and uploaded later if Wi-Fi drops or the page reloads

Exam prep

Register an exam and the remaining days are split into tasks.

  • All summaries for the sessions in the exam range
  • Redo wrong answers and review flashcards
  • Mock exams and a print-friendly view

Timetable and syllabus

Set it up once in the first week and Study Secretary keeps track of the rest.

  • Create courses and class times from a timetable photo, pasted text or an Everytime timetable screenshot
  • Read exam dates, assignments, weekly plans, grade weights and attendance rules from a syllabus PDF or photo — only what you confirm is saved
  • Korean public holidays cancel classes automatically, cancelled and make-up classes are tracked, and you can subscribe from your phone calendar

Attendance and grade targets

Calculated only from the syllabus rules you confirmed.

  • Record present, late, absent or excused for each class
  • Absences left before the limit, with an attendance warning in the morning summary
  • What you need on the final to reach your target grade (not calculated if the weights do not add up to 100)

Team projects

Start a team with an invite link and pull tasks out of meetings.

  • Draft meeting minutes from notes or your own recording transcript
  • Tasks and deadlines per person, with “due today” in the morning summary
  • A participation record that shows facts only

Notifications and install

Reminders only when they help.

  • Morning study summary, a reminder 10 minutes before class, weekly study report
  • Add to the home screen on iPad (Safari) or Galaxy Tab (Chrome) to run full-screen like an app
  • Interface in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai

How to get started

  1. Sign up for free with email or social login.
  2. Add a timetable photo or your syllabus to create your courses.
  3. Press record in your first class. A transcript and summary are created when it ends.

How much does it cost?

Signing up, uploading recordings, entering a timetable by hand, marking important parts, slide matching and attendance and grade calculations use no points.

AI features such as transcription, summaries, question generation, tutor questions and reading photos or syllabi deduct points only when they succeed — nothing is deducted if they fail. You can see this month’s usage on the study home.

Privacy and lecture rights

  • Before recording you confirm that it is for reviewing your own classes and that you have checked your school’s and professor’s recording rules.
  • Original recording files are deleted automatically after 90 days (transcripts and summaries stay, and you can delete anything at any time).
  • You can download all your study data (zip) or delete it all, and study data is deleted when you close your account.
  • Share links carry only summaries, flashcards and exam-range summaries. Lecture transcripts are never shared, and a link is blocked immediately when a lecture-rights complaint is reported.
